The Brief
In this digital age where customer experience is key, brands need to find new ways to
connect to increasingly demanding consumers. Over the last few years, Farrow & Ball have implemented
various customer centric initiatives, some of the most successful have sprung from the brand's focus
on helping customers to make the right decorating decisions and providing practical expert advice.
With over 500,000 visitors to the Farrow & Ball website every month and successful initiatives such as the
in-home colour consultancy, F&B realised that by combining digital experiences with personalised
creative and practical advice, is a recipe for success. The brand therefore needed to find a way
to combine this in an innovative way in their retail stores.

THE SOLUTION
An interactive digital application powered by state-of-the-art visual communications technology.
We designed a retail solution which perfectly complimented the customer experience ethos of Farrow & Ball by allowing
for a variety of results based on user input, all delivered in a visually stunning manor.
INTERACTIVE DISPLAY
With a wealth of assets available to the brand, it was my job to utilise these in an effective way
for their digital approach. Our solution used the existing colour swatches used in store and adding
digital chips at the back which allowed them to 'talk' to the interactive screens to deliver
personalised recommendations quickly.
Interactive RFID technology is an essential part of the installed solution, creating a direct link between the interactive content on the screens and the physical products in store.
When designing and creating this interactive experience, up-most consideration was given to
creating the perfect user flow and easy to navigate experience. This ensures users get the maximum amount
of information and inspiration whilst using the application.
Furthermore, the intelligent search functions allow clients or consultants to efficiently navigate through the
various colours, prints, designs and other information in a targeted, structured way.
